Scott celebrated his 37th birthday on Monday! I can't believe it. Yeah, he pretty much robbed the cradle when he met me. On Friday we are going to the Westin to have dinner and hang out. It should be fun.
I'm at work right now, so I don't have any wacky pictures to post of him, but I'll do a little tribute to him instead.
Things that make Scott so great!
1) He is his own man. He does not try to follow the crowd. If he has opinions, even if they are obviously not what the group is thinking, he has no issue voicing them. He's fearless like that.
2)He is suprisingly very handy around the house. He can do plumbing, electrical and pretty much anything I throw at him. If he dosn't know how to do it, he'll figure it out.
3) He is super smart. He knows a lot about a lot. Sometimes he's like a walking encyclopedia, actually most times he's a walking encyclopedia. What was the body of water the native american's crossed on their trek through Africa? He would pull out some answer. He's also a super hard worker and always dedicates himself to what ever he does.
4)He makes me laugh daily. Today's example may be a bit crude, but I'll tell it none the less. --okay. There's a guy he works with that sends out inspirational quotes every day, so then Scott sends them to me at work. Today's quote was "A mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions."--His comment to me was "This sounds a bit dirty". Ahh, ha ha
5)He likes me to pick out his clothes and style his hair--when I have time. I think that's cute
6)He always smells so good.
7)He has so many different personalities. Not in a Cybil way, but for instance. He can be very structured and corprate, very handyman like, rugged and outdorsie, refined and romantic, hippy and earthy. I love all the many sides.
8)He's a good motivator. People always say this to him. He's inspirational. I love this when it comes to our relationship. I know that he has such determination and will to make our love grow stronger and that's so comforting since some people think that things and feelings just work themselves out with out convorsation or effort. He has such faith in us together.
9) He's training for a marathon, and true to Scott, he's training for the Denver marathon. Yeah, that's right a marathon at 5500ft.
10)When he sings Karaoke, he sings like he IS David Bowie or IS Ozzy Osbourne. He is so passionate about it and it cracks me up.
11)He is a dare devil at heart. I appreciate that he tones it down in front of me, or else I would freak out, but I know that everytime he looks at a big tree or even our apartment for instance, his mind is thinking how he could climb it.
12)He is obsessed with the show South Park. It never fails, he always has a comment about how something in life reminds him of a south park episode. Guess what. Our neighborhood's name is "South Park Hill" No joke... we were made to live there.
13)He is the master pancake maker. I just don't even try anymore. His outshine mine by a long shot.
14) He loves kitchen gagets. We have paired down a TON since moving 2 times reciently, but if we had room he would have every kitchen gaget known to man.
15) I love that he LOVES music, cause I do too. I never met anyone that could match me and my music collection until Scott. He put my collection to shame. He's also not afraid to like certian artists. ie: when he was younger he would mow the lawn to Kenny Loggin's greatist hits. He would blast "SEAL" out of his little VW Rabbit GTI etc... This is just another example of Scott being his own man and just not caring what everyone says. He is authentic and that is so endearing, cute, funny and sexy. I love my man!
