I think my mom wore baby's breath in her hair when she got re-married inn 1990 and that may just have been the last official occasion where it was acceptable to use the B.B.
Scott bought me flowers the other day and of course, since they were roses, the flower industry thinks it's necessary to add a little flair, aka BB.
Talking to Erin today about baby's breath, and when to use it, ie: Never, got me thinking about other things we should not do/use anymore.
so... in no particular order
-tootsie roll bangs
-ringlets
-men with "frosted tip" hair
-platform sandals
-sunflower walpaper
-any sort of "cutsie thing" hanging from your rearview mirror
-disney (if you're over the age of 10, let it go)
-matte makeup
-padded or faux wood toilet seats
* on a side note, I think the only one who likes baby's breath is my cat. He eats it, then pukes it up, and then I clean it up. It's really a win/win situation for the both of us.

HA! I agree with you 100% on all of those things. That was fun to read. I have to add...I noticed the other day that jean shorts for boys are nerdy now, huh? I never realized that until I had my baby boy. I just can't bring myself to buy jean shorts for him. Then I got to thinking that Chris, my husband, or any men for that matter, should wear jean shorts!
I mean SHOULDN'T wear jean shorts.
yep, that's a good one. You should have seen Scott's wardrobe when I met him. Black tapered jeans and all!
yeah, now scott's got so much style (thanks to his awesome wife) that he's mistaken for "batting for the other team", if you know what i mean. :) I loved your ode to baby's breath blog. so fitting and true. i'll have to think of some other fashion faux pas. jean shorts for men are a good one, amber. hmm, how about doc marten sandals... or with socks! yep, sandals with socks were never cool.
oh, i forgot to say that i love arthur's eyes in this picture. he's soooo in love with the BB. and sarah's laying on her platform, the dvr player. aaah, that picture says it all for the DeJong family!
