Since our remodeling co. went out of business, we're doing all the work ourselves. Well, it's mostly my hub and his friends. I'm just the Home Depot runner and picture taker. Here's our progress on the hall bathroom. The first picture shows the demo already started, and the second one is Scott Jackhammering a hole for the toilet (notice the sexy large 70's headphones) That jackhammer is LOUD.
We always discover new things about our home as we get in a dig. Like... the window that was behind our shower/tub, that the previous owners decided not to take out, just drywall and tile over. Smart :) or the medicine cabinet that was leveled by the cardboard box the celing fan came in, also smart, or maybe that they used caulking to glue in shelves?? I'm no Bob Vila, but don't you use nails or screws to mount shelves?? Not according to Andrew Gomez (the old owner)
I'll keep the pictures coming of the bathroom. It will be gorgeous when it's done. I just keep pretending like I'm on "flip this house" so the reality of it all dosn't sink in.

finally you added more stuff! 48 hours in real time feels like a whole week in blogging time! jk. yeah, it's so crazy all of the "professional" home renovations the old owners did... you are so lucky to live amongst their great work, kathryn. on the bright side, you're adding more value to your home, which is always a good thing!
