I joined a running club

So, I took the plunge and joined a running club with Scott. It was a lot of fun actually. It meets every thursday at 6:15 and there are probablly between 100-150 runners. There's a group that goes out at 6:15 and one at 6:30. We meet at this Irish Bar downtown called the Irish Snug in the basement then at 6:15 we run. Well, 98% run and well me, I trot/walk. I was definately a bit self concious being a bit mushy and well rounded, but I figured, hey I'm out here, so what the hell. Things were bouncing and I'm sure I looked funny, but it felt great. The run is maped out great. Through the neighborhoods downtown and through Cheesman Park which is gorgeous. I soon found myself being passed up by nearly everyone like gazels dodging the wounded groundhog, but I pressed on.
It soon became very aparant that once the others were out of sight I would have no idea where to go. I just made my way all the way around the huge park because I remembered Scott telling me that we go around the whole thing. Just when I thought I was totally lost I saw a girl I recognized making her way BACK INTO the park from a side street and then a trickle of runners soon joined her. I had obviously not gone the right way! I guess the route makes a turn out of the park into a neighborhood and then back into the park, but I was too far behind everyone to see where they turned until I saw them coming back into the park. Anyways, I was glad to see someone I recognized from behind. She had very distinctive tattoos, so I knew I was on the right track. I've named my running style right now the "chunky trot" cause I was definately not doing the same thing as everyone else visually, lol.
It was a great experience and I will definately go back next thursday. After 10 runs you get a shirt. It's actually a really nice moisture wicking material with a cool Irish Snug logo. When you registered, you had to circle your shirt size and for women, the shirt is that "girl style" shirt and they only went to large, so I just asked for a large. So my goal is by the time I get my shirt, which should be in 10 runs/ten weeks, I want to fit into the shirt and be able to wear it in public with out it looking rediculous. I don't wnat my Irish SNUG, t-shirt to be SNUG.. ha ha ha.
The picture is of part of the running group.

That sounds like fun. You'll have to post pictures of your t-shirt when you get it.
