Just a thought

Why is it that people feel the need to push and shove their beliefs down other's throats?
Yes, I know that everyone thinks "they ARE" right, but here's a thought. What if there are many paths to God? What if what you believe truely isn't right for everyone? I know it's radical, but let that marinate in your gut for a while.

I'm refering to a lot of things here, but what set me off is this

Over and out

Full disclosure: I would consider my own views as pro-life, in most cases. As in, I would not get an abortion, and I would counsel my daughter to consider other options. However, I am a firm believer that each state should vote on abortion rights individually, instead of creating an overall blanket governmental thumbs up or thumbs down. Limited government is my personal American dream, and so any sort of pro-life or choice agendas usually leave a bad taste in my mouth anyway.

THAT SAID: What a bunch of morons. "Hyuck, we got ourselves a big ol' sign that says you like killing babies. Aren't we so smart and newsworthy?" No, you're just wrong and sad, and if you care so much about the human race, then maybe you would do well to remember the women who have to make that decision, many times all on their own, and MAYBE instead of using those sheets to shove a point down someone's throat, you could have used them to, oh I don't know, donate to an orphanage or make diapers to donate to a crisis center or SOMETHING. What a waste.

I don't think anyone is impressed.

(By the way, I love Katy's blog, because she's not afraid of bringing up these sensitive topics and opening the floor. Katy, you should have your own show).

Yeah, what a bunch of idiots. Renee, some sheets had to be sacrificed for a "greater" cause, alright? geez.

Yeah, sometimes I feel so passionately for the right to choose I almost THINK about protesting. We've already talked about this, Kate, but I'll say it again. If abortion was illegal, there would be many young girls and women out there who would take personal action to abort their pregnancies, in turn accidentally killing themselves or causing major permanent damage. I am pro-life, but I still think I have the right to make that choice for myself, instead of Dubya or any other pres.

Yeah, a bit much. Even as a pro-lifer, it is hard to see the logic behind something like that. What does it achieve exactly? Nothing.
