Random Happenings

Saturday was my first weigh in for weight watchers. I lost 3.4 lbs and am for REAL now down 20 lbs. I was thinking, I don't feel like I'm down 20 pounds and I don't look like I am either. My clothes barely fit looser, but then again when I was 20 pounds heavier I rarely even wore real clothes. I hated wearing jeans and owned only one pair. Plus I was only teaching yoga at that time, so I really just lived in loose flowy yoga pants. Note: your weight can really creep up on you if you don't have buttons to button daily. So, I really don't have regular clothes to compare sizes to back then. Then on Saturday, I found this nice fitted jacket that I bought back then that I've worn like 2 times, because it was tight. So I put it on and it was loose, not too big, but definitely loose. YEA! Finally, some concrete results. My goal for this week is to lose 3 lbs. Harder now that I'm not sick and don't have the stomach flu, but definitely attainable.

This morning it snowed HARD and fast. I made it to work in about 40 minutes, when it takes me about 25 normally. Not bad. So so so many people got stuck this morning. It's a weird feeling to have your tires spin and spin and go nowhere. Not as scary as I thought, but still weird.

Scott surprised me with a spa day on Thursday. This is what I get. A 1.5hr massage, a facial a manicure, lunch and makeup although I think I'm going to ask if they will swap the makeup for a pedi. So nice huh? I'm so excited.

congratulations. that is some serious work you've done to be down 20lbs. you should be proud of yourself!!

Katy that is so great!! Congrats. If you think about it, a lot of weight is in our center (not the surface where its easy to feel) so the fact that your jacket is looser is SO COOL. I bet you'll totally lose 3 lbs just in sweat alone on your spa day :)
