Friday's Quote of the week

In honor of Valentine's Day.
I've decided to be all lovey dovey and post 2 poems.

A little diddy that the Mr. wrote for the Mrs.

Old Timey Poem

You stood before me
A sight to behold
And I before thee
As a suitor of old

I petitioned your hand
You responded in kind
Now bound by band
Of love's chosen bind

Your hand to remain
Gestured in mine
A symbol of cord
Or rope intertwined

Or of our hearts held
By ethereal strings
Hearts held by ghosts
Of beautiful things

Scott DeJong-2005

A little diddy the Mrs. wrote for the Mr.

He's Mine

To these sounds of grace
in fields that breathe you
awaiting your sighs
they will forever want you
and forever sing whispers
he is mine
my solace, my movement, my desire
and for you awaiting the stories, I grieve
for you awaiting the tips of fingers
know it will remain just there
on the curves and curls
for you awaiting the resin of silence
listen closely, and move with anguish
he is mine
my solace my movement, my desire, my grace

Wow, I am really impressed by the poetry. And you too are quite the romantics! Love letters at Christmas and romantic poem other times...sigh....well I will live vicariusly through it all!
