Why you shouldn't get giant cracks in your windshield

Safelite is contracted through my insurance company Liberty Mutual.

I have a GIANT crack in my windshield that quite literally just appeared one morning.

This was my phone call to safelite to get my windshield replaced

All names have been changed to protect the Innocent... or the not so Innocent. Ahem (Lawerence)

K: Hi, I need to find out what I have to do to get my windshield replaced
L: Can I have your name

K: Kathryn, actually Katy (it appears as Katy on my ins)
L: OK, Kathryn... k.a.t.h.e.r.i.n.e?

K: No, it's Katy (didn't mention the name spelling)
L:ok

L: What's the best number to get a hold of you?
K: 555-5555

L: Do you have your policy #
K: Yes, it's blah blah blah

L: OK, hold on while I look you up
(gone for about 4 minutes)
L: Are you sure that phone number is what's on your policy?

K: No, you didn't ask what phone number was on my policy, you asked what the best number to reach me at was. I gave you my cell phone.
L: Oh, ok. Can I have your address
K: Gave my address

L: Hold on a sec, while I try that
L: I can't find you in our system, do you have another phone number?
K: Why are you using a phone number? Can't you look me up by my policy #

L: OK, does your windshield have power?
K: What does that mean

L: Does it have Paas?
K: What?

L: Paas, p.a.a.s?
K: I have no idea what you're talking about

L: (reads from his manuel) "The customer will not know what Paas is... mumble mumble...."
K: If you just said "the customer will not know what Paas is" then how am I supposed to know what it is?

L: Ok, is your window "lighter or darker?"
K: Lighter or Darker? that's not very descriptive. Are you asking if it's tinted?
L: Yeah
K: No, it's not tinted.

L: Does it have sensors?
K: Um, OK, I've never had so many problems/questions/issues when trying to get a windshield replaced. WHAT are you talking about when you say "sensors"
L: Rain sensors
K: OK then, NO, my windshield does not have rain sensors

K: Can I speak with your manager?

He broke me. I could take no more!

Windshield cracks are so annoying. We finally fixed one in our pathfinder last year, which our insurance paid for....and then literally 10 days later got a new crack in it in the same place.

Its still there. We haven't had the heart to go through the hassle of getting it fixed again.
