Last night I had a dream that there was a fire alarm going off in our building, but our building was like a giant dorm room and we just had a small living section to ourselves.
The alarm went off and we didn't know if it was a test, or real. I was scrambling to get our cats. We have three cats ranging in size from "medium size dog" to "average cat" to "small 6 lb little doo doo boo booo, runt, precious little fur nugget"-that's the technical term.
I was in a panic. Not for us to vacate, but for our cats. We only have one cat carrier and Tick, the medium dog, barely fits in it, let alone two other cats. In my dream I was stuffing them in the carrier (it wasn't working)
I had to make a choice. I thought, if I leave Tick, he'll surely die. He's big and looks intimidating, but really he's a pansy ass. He freaks out over everything. Arthur would probably survive. He's a hunter. He's doesn't seem to be afraid of anything, so he'd probably try to escape instead of hiding and waiting to die. Sara (the precious/vicious/fur nugget) well, I could never leave her. She's like a permanent fixture in my heart. Plus I feel confident I could carry her out and keep her from getting away from my grasp.
Thankfully, I woke up and didn't have to make any "Sophie's choice."
What lesson do we learn from this? Don't live in giant dorm rooms. It's not good for the soul.

or...buy more cat carriers.
glad you woke up.
This was hilarious. Couldn't Scott have grabbed one?
Ahh, Amy. That cracked me up. You know, I never even thought of that, until you said it. Oh yeah... Scott. One cat in the carrier, I'll carry one and Scott can carry one. Done!
Hi Katy! I'm glad you left a comment. I'm always curious to who reads my blog that I don't know about. :) I remember you! I think we did soccer or swim team or something?? Or maybe I"m totally wrong. But I remember you. LOoks like you are doing well! I love yoga, too! I'm so excited to start training. Way to go on your certification.
