Did you know that I organize a meetup group for Denver couples?
It's not a swingers group. Every time I say I organize a couples group, I feel like I have to follow it up with (it's not a swingers group.) Not that there's anything wrong with swinging. Hey, if you want to do it with other people, by all means, do away.
Well we have something like 260 couples who are part of the group. It's wacky nuts. Yesterday I scheduled a meetup for a wine tasting that filled up within 3 minutes. This is what a friend said about the meetups "Your meetups are so popular. They're like the sales on black friday, except with out the fatal trampling." or something like that. I laughed and told her that was our new "meetup slogan" See, I'm already using it.
So anyways, my point.
I sent out an email to everyone saying how I'm finally making the step into portrait/lifestyle photography and I need test guinea pigs. I got a great response and I think I'll have a portfolio and website soon. My goal is 3 months.
That, my friends, makes me very happy. Especially since I'm working part time and I REALLY don't want to go back to full time and I REALLY don't want to get another job/random paycheck/soul sucking job.
On my list of 101 in 1001 I talked about quitting my day job and starting a business where I can create something I love. Well, I love photography. I have ever since I can remember. So here's my chance. I'm going to do this. I'm going to make it work. I know I have the talent. I have the time and I have the confidence now to go do it.

i'm so proud of you my kate. i still to this day get compliments on connor's birth announcement pics you did. feel free to toss those in your book. next time we're together, you can take as many pics of my uber cute kid to add to your book.

If you are coming down for the reunion, I'd like you to do pics for us. I'll have my people call your people.
