Hooray for Cupcakes!

Today I went to lunch with my mom. We went to Dish. It's a new place at Gainey Village. It's really cool place. It's like LGO meets CostPlus in a Scottsdale sort of way. So afterwards I drove down to Cupcakes. It was just south of where I was working and I wanted to go, but never made it until today. You say cake, and I say um YES.
So I got 2. One for me, one for ummm Scott, yeah Scott.

I ate mine, soooo good. People say desserts are rich and sweet like it's a bad thing. Hello, it's dessert people it's supposed to be sweet. I felt like a kid cause I got a vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting and sprinkles. I just looked fun. I got another one called the "Les Duex" ohh how "Hills/LA" of them.

About 3 hrs later I ate the other one. Yes, folkes, I'm confessing. So now I'm drinking tons of water and not eating dinner. On a positive note this morning I made Oprah's "Glass of Fresh"

1 Cucumber

2 Cups of Spinich

4 stalks of celery

1/2 inch cube of fresh ginger

1 apple

1 lemon

1 lime

Oprah and Dr. Oz said "throw it in a blender and drink" Ahh how simple, I thought. WRONG. I even went one step further and put it in the food processor. I was thinking to myself, how is this not going to be a paste? I was right. I think they were missing a key ingeredent, so I added OJ. After I processed it all I had to strain it out, because it was very mealy. Let me be the first to tell you.. It wasn't very good, but I DID drink it. Scott was shocked! He just took a sip and made that "what the hell are you trying to make me drink" face.

I love cupcakes. Why is it that cupcakes taste so much better than a piece of cake out of a pan made with the same ingredients? The world may never know. You couldn't pay me to drink that concoction I shudder even thinking about it, kudos to you.

He ate at matt and lindsey's house a few weeks ago and she bought the cupcakes from CupCakes for dessert. the red velvet was the best. BUT, i'm not a frosting girl whatsoever. i'd rather spend the calories on ice cream! oh, and the chocolate cupcakes from Wildflower bakery are very, very good.

another note, that Dr. Oz concoction looks pretty interesting. i'll have to give you the recipe to the veggie shakes we drink for breakfast... becca, it's not THAT bad, i promise!
