Colorado Observations

Here are some things I've noticed since living in Colorado

1) There are about 50 times more Starbucks here. In downtown there is a corner with 3 of the 4 taken up with their own starbucks location. There are everywhere people!

2) There is a slight obsession with Old Chicago (the restuarant chain.) Granted, it's good, but once again they are all over and always packed!

3) Colorado peeps LOVE their beer. Which in tern, makes me LOVE Colorado

4) Overall people are very very friendly and helpful. We've met 2 couples and they were very cute and nice.

5) There are walking/biking paths everywhere. Example: This morning we took a walking path behind our apartment to walk to starbucks. Which reinforces number 1 on the list.

6) Shoes called Dansko's are muy abundant. I feel like I fit right in because I bought my first pair about a year ago and everyone in CO has a pair. We were looking at a house yesterday and the seller requested we take off our shoes. There were literally 6 or so pairs of Dansko's by the door. A little creepy, but funny.

ok, that's all I got so far. So far we love it here and feel like we are home in many ways.

Danskos are a must when you live amidst the Rocky Mountains! I had three pair when I lived there, and thought they were so cute.. then I moved back to AZ and they weren't so cute anymore. Nonetheless, I'm a granola girl at heart and envy you to live amongst "our" people. :)

I know. Scott calls them my lesbian granola shoes. There really not cute, but for some reason as soon as you're in Colorado they magicly become a wardrobe must.

I seriously need to get a life I guess, because I had to google Danskos. I had no idea what they were. Glad you're liking Colorado, I could never do it, I hate being cold!

LGshoes! LOL! That's hilarious. It's really strange how "cute" simple, outdoorsy, sporty clothes and accessories look when you're in CO. I'm so glad you feel at home there. It's a cozy place to be. And that restaurant you tried sounds really tasty, I love tapas!
