I had the best weekend! Scott told me he was surprising me with something on Friday. I had no idea what it could be. I thought maybe he was taking me to see Wicked, or some play. He knows I've been wanting to do that, so I thought that's what it was. He gave me a week to stew over this, but I just had no idea what it was so I didn't think THAT much about it.
Then Friday rolled around. My mom called to talk that morning and asked what we had planned for the weekend. I told her Scott was taking me to dinner and that he had a surprise for me. So she says "I may know something about that." Wha wha?? I say. So of course this really gets my wheels turning. WHY would Scott involve my mom in this surprise? So, I call Erin right away to tell her the new "surprise news." I was sure my mom was coming to visit me since she said that she just couldn't wait until December to see me and that she was going to have to check her flight miles and see if she could swing a trip up before December. So, ALL day I'm just thinking, what could this be...
Then, the evening finally comes and we're getting ready to go to dinner. We get to the place and the hostess says "table for 2", to which Scott replies, no, um 3. I was thinking, I KNEW IT. So, we're sitting there having a drink and I'm like I knew it was my mom. Although I would have never even thought that, had she not made that earlier comment. So, we're sitting and I'm looking intently. Then I see a girl who looks like Erin! I'm like, is that Erin? NO. Wait, is that her. That really looks like Erin. So I look at Scott and he smiles and waves Erin over. At which point I TOTALLY LOST IT! I just burst into tears right in the middle of the restaurant! Could it be? Yep. Erin and Scott totally planed to surprise me.
We had a great weekend filled with much needed sissy time. My batteries are temporarily recharged! Thank you so much Erin for using some of your hard earned money to visit me in my desperate time of need. I'm fighting back tears right now just thinking of it.

When Erin revealed her secret, I had to fight back tears, because I think that's SO sweet to surprise someone you love, AND to love someone so much that a surprise visit is so exciting AND to know your surprise is going to be loved and to have someone you love be excited by your surprise. I don't know what I just said. Anyway, it's so sweet.
I've been waiting for this post! Erin told me about a week ago that she was going to surprise you. I'm glad you guys got to spend time together, sounds like you had fun!

finally i can talk to you about this. when erin and i were trying to pick a weekend for her to go out i was thinking the whole time...ugh erin don't tell me this i'm totally going to blow it!!
