South Mountain? Wha?

This morning I walked out to my car and was HIT by the very very cold temp. It's been cold here during the days, well not cold, but rather crisp. It's always COLD though in the mornings. Lately it's been about 35 in the morning. Today, like many days I had to scrape my windshield. I know most of you havn't had the pleasure of this early morning task, be grateful. BTW, it was 28 deg. this morning. 28!!

So anyways, I get in the car and drive to the end of the block. I look left or (east) and I was suddenly transported back to AZ for a flash. There was this mountain of clouds which were dark because it was 6:30 am. It looked like a huge mountain range right down the block. It looked JUST like South Mtn from around 7th St and I-10. For a second I was disoriented and had a hit of emotion. I don't even really like S. Mountain, but it was home and by the way the view from the top of S. Mountain is great, if you've never seen it. This mountain of clouds lasted my whole drive into work. I think I was thrown off also because here the mountains are always West, where as in PXH they surround you. I wish you could have seen this cloud mountain. It was pretty amazing.
