Sweet Love Burnin'

My mom likes to call me early in the morning. She calls me a lot to tell me about dreams she had about me, mostly as a baby. Or dreams she had of me hurt or in an accident, so then she calls to make sure I'm alright. It's a pretty regular thing.

This morning she called to tell me that when she was working out she heard a Kenny Loggins song that reminded her of me as a two year old. She has very vivid memories of me singing a lot as a kid. So do most of my family for that matter. My aunts and uncles like to tell me stories of me singing the most non-kid type songs. It always makes me laugh, because even though I can't remember when i was 2 yrs old, I can imagine my 2 yr old self singing "Let's hear it for the boy" by Deniece Williams. That base line was a classic, if you ask me. So anyways, I asked my mom what song she was talking about. She said, "whenever I call you friend." It didn't immedatly ring a bell. So she started singing it, but singing it as a little kid would sing it. I was cracking up.

Here's the link, give it a go, you'll remember it once you hear the chorus

The funny thing is, that up until this morning, I always though the chorus lyrics were "sweet love burnin' on a saturday night." I guess it's "sweet love showin' us a heavenly light" and "sweet love flowin' almost every night."

I believe I had a passionate love affair with Kenny Loggins when i was young, because I used to love so many of his songs. I had the footloose album that I played the crap out of from 1984-1986. Ahh, memories.

I know you don't remember. I would bet money that no one knew. I still sing and hum all the time at home. My mom always tells me that she knows I'm happy when I hum. I think it's mostly because I don't really realize that I do it. I'm just a mystery Linds. A MYSTERY!

btw i'm 100% serious that we need to find/watch that video of your 8th bday or whatever it was with the musical chairs action. i bet you were humming like crazy when you played that game.

OMG, I can't believe you even know that song, let alone sang it when you were two-years-old. You're crazy, Lady. haha. I'm still laughing about this post.
