Quotes of the week

First of all... I'm leaving EARLY for HOME! I changed my ticket last night to leave tomorrow instead of Tuesday. I'm beyond ready to get home. Scott will still meet me on Tuesday. I wish he could come with me tomorrow, but I think I'll definately find stuff to do, and people to see.
In honor of me going back to the homeland. I have some "home quotes" this week.

Home is a place you grow up wanting to leave, and grow old wanting to get back to.
~John Ed Pearce

This is one of my favorite movie quotes of all time... well it's one of my favorite movies of all time.

Andrew Largeman: You know that point in your life when you realize that the house that you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of the sudden even though you have some place where you can put your stuff that idea of home is gone.

Sam: I still feel at home in my house.

Andrew Largeman: You'll see when you move out it just sort of happens one day one day and it's just gone. And you can never get it back. It's like you get homesick for a place that doesn't exist. I mean it's like this rite of passage, you know. You won't have this feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, you know, for your kids, for the family you start, it's like a cycle or something. I miss the idea of it. Maybe that's all family really is. A group of people who miss the same imaginary place

Even though I love that Garden State quote, I still feel like my "parent's home" is home. I'm glad for that

Those quotes made me feel kind of weepy. I better not be pregnant again.

I didn't know that you were arriving in Phoenix sans Scott. Call me when you get in!

Enjoy the snow-less weather! I keep myself updated via the blog reader in my gmail account, so I never really actually see the blog pages. ANYWAY, so I was looking at your list of 101 things you wanna accomplish. You did a triathlon? I wanna get some tips from you! That's awesome you're organizing a 5k run for Nie. When will it be? Maybe I could come. I could surprise Chris with a trip there since he's a fellow Denverite (actually Fort Collins). Holy long comment. Ha...Merry Christmas!
