This is my year

I stood in line Saturday, sicker that a DOG, coughing, hacking, congested and barely able to breathe, to join weight watchers. Take a guess what the first Saturday meeting of the year looks like. Yup, packed! I knew it would be, but it was fine by me.

I joined along with many other thousands I'm sure. This is the year I am loosing this weight. I've decided that I need a team of people to help me and I have no shame in that. My Doctor is on board (he's so great, I love him), I have weight watchers and the meetings and the support of Scott and some other things too.

The good news is that from my heaviest about 1.5 yrs ago, I've lost almost 20 lbs. My goal is to be at my wedding weight of *** (ha, like I'd share that with everyone) by April. Today I am 36 lbs away from that goal. I think it's a good time frame too. We are wanting to go on a cruise around that time (finances permitting) and I would love to feel great in a swim suit again.

The good/bad thing is that when I was weighed in on Saturday my weight was at an all time low for the past 2 yrs. This is GREAT and this is not so great. It was so low because I've been super sick and not eating anything. Just drinking tons of water and juice. So, it's sort of an artifical low if you know what I mean. So I have to be really on top of it this week in order to lose. I'm sure if I stick to my points, just like I have been in the past couple days I'll be fine, but it's a little nerve wracking, ya know?

Anyways, that's my plan. I have set up a "no-fail" system and I'm glad to be doing it. I'm ready to look and feel great. I warned Scott the other night. I said, watch out honey, I'm going to be really sexy. Sexier than when you first met me. I actually believe it too.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Good for you! I love ww, it teaches some fantastic things about how to approach healthy and realistic eating habits. Clearly, they are habits I have ignored lately. Good luck! You will do awesome.

Let me know if you want some yummy recipes. I have a bunch of ww ones!
They are "Jeff approved"...

And you should know about this site... points for restaurants and some decent recipes. The ads suck, but everything else is worth it.

Good for you Katy!! I lost 15 pounds with weight watchers, and didn't feel like I was depriving myself of anything. I loved being accountable to myself, and the online program was perfect for me. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

I'd start my morning with a walk, just so that I could "afford" a skinny cow at the end of the day. Who knew ice cream sandwiches could be so HIGHLY motivating.
