Things that make me happy-Wednesdays

Harmonicas

This past week we were looking for something in our nightstand, and like a beacon of light, still boxed in it's original 1970's packaging, was a harmonica. What? Wait, WHAT? We've moved 3 times in the past 4 years, working on number 4 in about a month, sold or given away over 70% of all of our original possessions (OP's); we even gave away our dining room table and our bread maker for Pete's sake, so how do we still have a harmonica? I don't know, but nothing caps off a long day like a little harmonica playing. You know that and a Jack Daniels. My Husband's an alcoholic who beats me ;) Wait, Harmonicas, focus! So, yeah we broke out that harmonica and played like we were the big guy from Blue's Travelers (who's actually normal size now, just as an FYI.) It was spectacular. I wish you could have heard us go!

Apartment Softball (because it was with a soft-ball and Scott throws a mean fast pitch underhand)
We have a small apartment and an even smaller living space, but we don't let that stop us from getting an impromptu game of fast pitch going. OK, Here's the story. Scott got a gift from Lockheed for being an employee for 5 years. He got to pick his gift. He picked a mag-lite flash light. Actually it was an imitation, but whatever. That day he also came home with this baseball size vinyl covered ball stuffed with goose feathers or something like that. Think "baby's first ball." So, naturally I threw the ball at him and he hit it across the room. Awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeee! We played probably like 20-30 rounds. Scott pretended he was on the Women's USA fast pich team and the balls whizzed past my face. he he he he he!
I got one good "private part" shot in at Scott and he hit my in the boob. First base was hitting it into the bathroom, second was our spare bedroom and a home run was in our bedroom. It was fun, we had fun.
