Let's go back, way back, back into time

Last year when my grandma Lanna passed away we went through all her boxes and boxes of photos. She was so meticulous about writing descriptions on the backs of photos in her perfect cursive. I miss my grandma. I really miss her. She was lovely and I never use the word lovely.

You can imagine my surprise when I found one of these photos. Can you guess which one? Here I am in Upstate NY going through my grandmother's things and I run across a photo of Amy and me at graduation?!? I was a bit jarring, but funny nonetheless. Amy, you were logged away in my grandma's archives!

So, here's some fun pictures from the past.

Me & Amy at Graduation 99'

My dad & cousin Megan. I love this picture. It was the year before I was born. Megan and my dad are really close, so this is a fun picture to have. My favorite parts are the copious amounts of liquor on the countertop and the old school Budweiser can. Those Salata's know how to party.

Grandma and me. This is such a perfect picture to represent her personality.

My mom, circa 1972 with her naturally curly hair ironed out.

I think I was crying because all my friends were graduating and I was going to be left at high school without these awesome great people!

Katy, you and I used to be way blonder.

I never realized how much you look like your mom! Your grandma seems like a neat lady. I love the granny square crochet tossed over the couch behind you two. :)

Your grandma seems like a sweet and special lady and friend. My great grandmother Dolly was my favorite grandmother. She was the light of my life when I was younger. I had a hard time dealing with her when she passed.

I have to add that I love your mom's blouse in the last photo. Call me overly vintage, but I think it is so classy.

Glad you found my blog.
